“Something is profoundly wrong with the way we live today,” a statement uttered by Tony Judt, historian, and author of Ill Fares the Land.
What is happening in the world today is unlike anything that we have seen before, there are those awaken to a deeper level of spiritual consciousness. Even while listening to Oprah’s series with prolific author Eckert Tolle, I hear people longing for the answers to the most profound questions of meaning, purpose, and inner freedom.
And then there is you.
If you are reading this, you probably found this writing through a Facebook post, Instagram swipe-up link, or through the Google search engine. You could be thinking, "who is this young girl to talk to me about the issues of my life? What does she know about pursuits of things that may or may not be understood?" Great questions. I am nobody special, just someone with a lot of questions about the human condition and the state of the world today. I am in search of a practical and relatable way to communicate some the answers I’ve found. What I hope to inspire in you is a curiosity for taking the journey of self-discovery yourself. Are you asking questions that lead you to a deeper understanding of the world around you and the contradictions that lay within you? Do you believe you are more than a body merely suited for consumption? If yes, and no, you are in the right place. We can take the journey together.
To reference Judt’s earlier statement, what is profoundly wrong with the way we live today, is what lies in the chest of each of us, a heart that is prone to wonder and one that seeks eternal truth in temporary trappings of this world.
The Bold Act of Becoming Yourself is about facing that longing and rising above it. The method is the bases of this book.
What is the outcome and the benefit to you becoming yourself? Peace.
